Our Programs

For over 10 years, the Catalyste+ Tourism Business Mentoring Program has been a key driver of economic development in the Northwest Territories (NWT), providing mentorship and guidance to tourism entrepreneurs and businesses. Since its launch in 2014, the program has successfully delivered over 50 mentorships, helping businesses grow and strengthen their operations. Funded by the Government of the Northwest Territories Industry, Tourism and Investment Department, the program fosters entrepreneurship and contributes to a more diverse, self-sustaining economy. Aligned with the government’s principles of promoting regional diversity and community self-sufficiency, the program also ensures that NWT resources are utilized in ways that benefit local residents, creating a vibrant, resilient community that drives long-term economic growth.

Since 2020, Catalyste+ has been working with the National Research of Canada through the Industrial Research Assistance Program to support small and medium-sized Indigenous-owned businesses and Economic Development Corporations in developing and commercializing technologies, driving growth through innovation and technology. Through this mentorship program, Indigenous entrepreneurs with an incorporated business and community-owned Economic Development Corporations, can access support from a Catalyste+ Advisor who can share expert advice, create connections to help grow their businesses, increase their innovation capacity and take their ideas to market.
