The week celebrates and promotes Canada’s work toward eliminating poverty and gender inequality and to encourage Canadians to get involved.
The host organizations are funded by Global Affairs Canada through its Volunteer Cooperation Program project.
The media are welcome and will have the opportunity to interview Canadian volunteers, who recently returned from assignments abroad working to improve socio-economic conditions in several countries.
