CESO Announces Changes to Board of Directors 2022
TORONTO, September 22, 2022 – At CESO’s Annual General Meeting, new board members Marie Lynne Desrochers and Peter Sinclair were formally approved by the membership and welcomed by the Board of Directors.
Marie Lynne Desrochers works as an independent director and strategic advisor rooted in business transformation and execution. A senior executive with 30 years of experience working in retail and commercial banking at RBC and the National Bank of Canada, Ms. Desrochers has expertise in building digital products, operating models and managing risks. She is also a CESO Advisor, a lecturer at HEC Montreal, a committee lead and mentor for the Association of Women in Finance of Québec, and a partner with Ai Outcome.
Peter Sinclair is an independent Environmental Social Governance (ESG) advisor for the global mining industry. He is currently senior advisor at the World Gold Council where he supports the implementation of Responsible Gold Mining Principles and ESG research and engagement activities. Before joining the mining industry, Peter spent 15 years working in international development and humanitarian aid with various non-governmental organizations. He lived in Africa for seven years, spending time in Ghana, the Republic of the Congo, Swaziland and Rwanda. He has travelled, worked and lived in over 65 countries.
Wendy Evans will be leaving the board having finished her year as past chair as well as two four-year terms. CESO is truly grateful to Ms. Evans for her inspired counsel, strategic vision and extensive expertise during her time as a board member since 2013, chair since 2020, and past chair since 2021.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Danièle Ayotte and Anthony Pagano, who will be leaving the board having served two four-year terms. Ms. Ayotte and Mr. Pagano served from 2014 to 2022, making immeasurable contributions to the organization with their strategic input and valuable advice.
At the meeting of the Board of Directors on September 22, 2022, Lou Naumovski was appointed by the board to the position of vice chair. Mr. Naumovski has served as a board member since 2016. Mr. Naumovski brings extensive multidisciplinary expertise, including business development, marketing, finance and international development.
